Our story about creativity, scissors, glue guns, and friendship!
Our love for felt began in 2020, right in the middle of Nathalie's pregnancy. While hormones were all over the place, she made cheerful name garlands, keychains, and baby mobiles for above the crib. Being creative was a moment for herself and, secretly, quite addictive.
Our children were born one month apart, and it was precisely during that hectic time that we became friends. Patricia came to help out one evening when things had finally calmed down a little… after the arrival of twins and our swimming night that evening which was completely ruined. From that moment on, we knew: *this* is going to be fun, and it felt like the start of something we were both totally excited about. And yes, swimming? We haven't done that since.
Then we received a lovely request from Camping La Jonquille in France: “Can you make daffodils for our reception?” Of course! That went so well that more orders soon followed. And sure enough, we were immediately sold too; felt flowers are simply too much fun to stop making.
Our assortment slowly grew; birth flowers and DIY Boxes found a special place in our flower stall, alongside, of course, loose flowers and bouquets. In September 2022, we stood at our very first market on our island (Goeree-Overflakkee), surrounded by cheerful flowers and curious passers-by from Flakkee. That was when we knew for sure: Florever Bloemen was born! Not long after, we hosted our first workshop for 50(!) teachers, and this is where the love for giving workshops began!
We complement each other perfectly. Nathalie is bursting with ideas and creativity, while Patricia ensures everything runs smoothly. Together, we are a young, growing, and thriving team full of enthusiasm and fun!
Highlights since 2022
2022
In 2022... this adventure began and Florever Bloemen was born.
.. we received our first assignment from a campsite in France.
.. we stood at a market with our flower stall for the first time.
2023
In 2023..
.. we sold our flowers at our first point of sale.
.. hosted a workshop for 50 people at once! (this is where the love for giving workshops began)
.. we made our first bridal bouquet.
.. we decorated a restaurant.
.. we were at Creative Life, a large event for creative entrepreneurs, with our flower stall and various workshops.
.. we went from a sole proprietorship to a company with 2 owners!
.. we launched our first advent calendars [12 or 24 (DIY) flowers that you unpack until Christmas].
2024
In 2024..
.. we gained an additional point of sale, a real flower shop(!) in Delft.
.. this site went live on Nathalie's birthday.
.. we were at KreaDoe in the Jaarbeurs with our flowers and workshops.
...we were in a magazine in bookstores for the first time. Thanks, Zij & Zeeuws!
.. we had a nice spot at Creative Life again.
.. we built up a stock of 900 flowers in 2 months.
.. we sent out 70 advent calendars.
2025
In 2025..
...we were featured in Bloem & Blad with our first interview.
.. we improved a great many flowers in our assortment.
...we were in 2 local newspapers.
.. we created a cool new product; DIY Bouquet Boxes.
.. we were once again at the KreaDoe Spring Festival with workshops that were completely sold out!
.. bouquets shining in living rooms in houses for sale on the internet.
.. our flowers are for sale in the capital of our neighbors; Brussels!
2026
In 2026..
.. we will be at the Libelle Margriet Summer Week in April, Autotron Rosmalen.
.. we are giving workshops on May 1, 2, and 3 at the KreaDoe Spring Festival in the Jaarbeurs.
.. we launched the group workshop boxes.
.. we made 13 new DIY flowers (coming online soon!)
Are you making this entirely yourselves? What a lot of work!
Our flowers are made entirely by hand. Not a single machine is used.
Patricia carefully cuts out each flower, and Nathalie uses a glue gun to assemble them into a perfect look-alike of the real flower.
Can I also order other flowers from you?
Our assortment has grown so much lately that we have made a selection for our flower stall.
Of course, we can make any flower for you in any color. New flowers take some time because they are completely fine-tuned by us. But we have already created quite a few flowers that are not included in our assortment.
So feel free to ask about your favorite flower if it is not listed. Who knows, we might have made it before!
Care
Our felt flowers will last forever. But here is what you can do to arrange the bouquet beautifully in a vase:
- The stems are made of iron wire and can therefore be arranged in any vase by cutting or bending them.
- You can play with heights and bend them to the side you want.
- Use the hairdryer on it occasionally to blow the dust off.
- Put them in a nice spot and enjoy them every day!
